The festival “Everything starts with a family” was held at the estate of Afanasy Fet, which united Kursk families. The holiday is included in the program of events dedicated to the Year of the Family.
The festival opened with a solemn ceremony of marriage registration: three couples signed in front of hundreds of guests. Then the newlyweds were given the particles of the family hearth “Heart of Russia”, which was lit at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” at VDNH. The marriage certificate was presented to new families of the region by Olga Vorobyova, acting Chairman of the Registry Office Committee of the Kursk region.
11 couples – anniversaries of married life and 8 large families were awarded for the preservation of family values. Among them are the families of the participants of the SVO.
The performances of the creative families of the region became a bright decoration of the festival. Some ensembles involve several generations.
Guests could also sing their favorite karaoke songs with the whole family, read poetry on the poetry playground or play games. The participants were also able to show their talents at master classes in fine arts and create an amulet doll for their family.
A soap bubble show was held for the younger guests and cartoons by the Kursk animator Boris Dezhkin were shown.
The event was supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Registry Office Committee of the Kursk region.
