On July 30, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov received Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Mohammed Al-Khuleifi, who is in Moscow on a working visit.
During the conversation, topical issues of further progressive development of multifaceted Russian-Qatari relations, including increasing cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian fields, were discussed in detail.
During the exchange of views on key topics on the Middle East agenda, the main attention was paid to the tasks of resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. In this context, Moscow and Doha confirmed their interest in continuing close foreign policy coordination both in a bilateral format and on various international platforms.
On the same day, the Russian Foreign Ministry held extensive consultations with M. Al-Khuleifi, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia M.L.Bogdanov.
