Scientists of the Interuniversity Student Campus of the Ufa University of Science and Technology have developed innovative sulfur preparations for agriculture and construction. They are used to stimulate plant growth, protect against diseases and pests, and process construction products, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation told TASS.Sulfitek-Agro is a universal environmentally safe plant growth stimulator based on sulfur nanoparticles. The drug is also used to protect against fungal diseases and ticks, optimizes nutrition at various stages. It is a long-acting sulfur mineral fertilizer for all crops in open and protected soils and on all types of soils,” the message says.

Field tests have proved that the protein content of cereals and legumes increases, the oil content of oilseeds increases, fruit and berry and ornamental trees, vegetables receive protection from fungal diseases and mites. The principle of the nanopreparation allows you to apply sulfur in small concentrations before sowing or during the period of active plant growth. In addition, scientists at Ufa University used sulfur to process construction products. “The effectiveness of the application is due to the fact that as a result of treatment with Aquastat, a coating of sulfur nanoparticles is formed on the surface of pores and capillary tracts of materials, which prevents water penetration. The method of using the drug is convenient and simple, and it is cheaper in cost than existing analogues. With its help, more comfortable living conditions are created and funds are saved for the maintenance of buildings and structures,” the press service noted.

The drugs have already been patented and presented on the regional market, contracts have been concluded with manufacturing enterprises of Bashkiria. Enterprises from Turkey and Bulgaria have also become regular customers, the message says.
