In the Column Hall of the Central House of the Russian Army, the closing ceremony of the Parajanov-fest festival gathered the beautiful creative and business elite of the capital, the results of the large-scale Parajanov October were summed up, the festival diary was presented, reflecting bright events, significant events, exhibitions, a retrospective of films, creative meetings and multimedia projects of the festival.
In his welcoming speech, Dmitry Davydenko, Director of the Cinematography Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, stressed how important this beautiful festival is in the dialogue between the cultures of our two peoples at this difficult time.
The gala concert, which was arranged in the best traditions of the Parajanov holiday and refined aesthetics, was attended by jazz singer Mariam Merabova, world champions in ballroom dancing Arsen Agamalyan and Oksana Vasilyeva, “Theater of Dance and Soul” Sophie Devoyan, Margarita Pozoyan, Narek Gevorgyan, Marina Martirosyan, outstanding bass – People’s Artist of Armenia Barseg Tumanyan, the author’s collection of designer Naira Harutyunyan was shown. Vladimir Gabbe, founder of the Parajanov Theater in Moscow, head of the Cultural Center of the RA Embassy in Russia, congratulated all participants of the festival and noted that the aim of the initiative was to infect the modern public, especially the youth, with the high idea of humanism of the Parajanov planet and fill our difficult era of change with awareness of the highest human values.
In his speech, the nephew of the Master, film director Georgy Parajanov stressed the importance of a new assessment of the life and work of his uncle and the high level of the festival. The iconic photographer, biographer and close friend of the Master Yuri Mechitov noted that there has never been such a large-scale art festival dedicated to the Master in the whole world! Honorary awards of the festival and diplomas were awarded to partners, authors of projects and participants of the festival. Vivid impressions and a high bar of emotional outbursts set by the organizers of the festival will remain in the memory of the sophisticated metropolitan public for a long time.
