In 2024, 20 young families were able to use the regional maternity capital in the amount of 1 million rubles. Next year, the regional support program for student families will continue. This was announced by the governor of the Ivanovo region Stanislav Voskresensky during the final meeting with residents, which took place on December 8 at the Professional plant.
One of the recipients of this support measure was Ulyana Smirnova, a student at the Ivanovo Medical College. She thanked the governor for his help and noted that thanks to the maternity capital, the family was able to purchase an apartment that they had never even dreamed of before.
Stanislav Voskresensky, in response to the words of a young mother, shared his personal experience.
“I found out for myself that I was going to become a father as a fifth-year student. Yes, I was already working then, but not everyone’s situation is like this. Often, students are simply not financially ready for the birth of a child. That is why we have created such a measure of support for those who find themselves in a similar situation. If both mom and dad are college or university students, the family receives a million rubles in addition to the presidential maternity capital. There are few families that can be helped, but I urge you not to be afraid: children are happiness,” he said.
