On the meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Vershinin with the Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization U.Z.Sharsheev

On February 5, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Vershinin met with the Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) in Moscow Shanghai Cooperation Organization U.Z.Sharsheev.

The sides exchanged views on topical issues of international cooperation in countering terrorism, separatism and extremism, and discussed the prospects for the development of the RATS activities aimed at ensuring regional stability and creating the necessary conditions for the sustainable development of the SCO member states.

Sergey Vershinin congratulated U.Z.Sharsheev on assuming office and noted the firm commitment of the Russian side to work to improve the SCO’s potential in the fight against modern challenges and threats to security.
