The tourist flow from the UAE to the Russian capital is showing rapid growth: in the first nine months of 2024, 40,000 Emirati travelers visited Moscow, compared with 5,000 in 2022. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the tourism Committee of the city Bulat Nurmukhanov in an interview with Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of the TV BRICS network.

“This is an impressive dynamic, and our task is to maintain this trend,” he stressed.

According to him, the countries of the Persian Gulf, especially the UAE, are a key tourist market for the Russian capital. Nurmukhanov added that the city authorities are striving to attract even more Emirati tourists so that they discover Moscow as one of the most sought-after and popular destinations.

The Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee attended a press event in Dubai. The Russian delegation included representatives of federal authorities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Our visit is an opportunity to express gratitude to Arab companies, Emirati tour operators and all partners who actively work with the Russian market, especially with Moscow,” Nurmukhanov said.

In addition, he said that the city receives about 26 million travelers annually, and by 2030 it is planned to increase this figure to 50 million people. According to him, the interest in Moscow among tourists from the Middle East continues to increase.
