Russian Russian and Regional Studies in the system of Coursework will be held in Abu Dhabi on February 22-23, where a new textbook “The WORLD – We study Russian”, designed for native speakers of Arabic, will be presented. The publication was prepared by the staff of St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg State University) under the leadership of Professor Leonid Moskovkin, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences.
The textbook combines modern methods of teaching Russian and the cultural context familiar to Arabic-speaking students. It examines in detail the difficulties faced by students, including the diversity and mobility of the Russian accent and case endings. The material includes exercises to develop writing skills, as well as texts about Russia and the countries of the Middle East. Students will be able to learn more about cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, singer Viktor Tsoi and other famous Russians. One of the heroes is also the first Emirati astronaut Hazzaa Al-Mansouri.
At the seminar, Professor Moskovkin will give a lecture on the development of textbooks on Russian as a foreign language and will present a new edition, which was created with the participation of Orientalists from the Department of Arabic Philology of St. Petersburg State University and practical teachers from the countries of the Middle East region.
Russian Russian Language and Literature Teachers International Association (MAPRYAL) is the organizer of the event in partnership with the Russian School in Abu Dhabi with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation. Russian language teachers from the UAE and other countries of the region are invited to participate.
