On February 24, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov paid a visit to Ankara, where he was received by President of the Republic of Turkey R.T. Erdogan and held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister H.By Fidan.
During the meetings and conversations, the commitment of Russia and Turkey to the implementation of previously reached agreements at the highest level on the entire spectrum of progressive development of mutually beneficial bilateral multifaceted cooperation was confirmed.
Topical issues on the international agenda were also discussed in detail. At the same time, special attention was paid to the problems of the Syrian settlement and the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone.
It was agreed to continue to maintain an active Russian-Turkish political dialogue, including on the Ukrainian crisis and other topics of mutual interest in international relations.
