The answer of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov to the question of the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin”, Moscow, April 20, 2025

Question: In your opinion, what has become of the European Union, whose officials forbid the leaders of the countries to come to Moscow?

Sergey Lavrov: There is no such word that would characterize this phenomenon. It’s really (I’m not being ironic right now) inconceivable how the European Union openly wants to resume the European ideology of Nazism, where it originated, was destroyed, and was categorically banned by the Nuremberg Tribunal (also in Europe). She’s being reborn now. Moreover, the leadership in this process belongs to the leaders of the “Brussels bureaucracy.”

These are sad, disturbing events. We will not put up with this. We will do our best to keep this ideology down, to destroy it once and for all, and Europe will return to its values, which are not to “cut everyone’s hair”, put everyone “under the gun”, and set Europe’s competitors against those whose values European leaders, “Fuhrers” and other “commissars” do not like their views and beliefs.

I hope we will get a majority in European capitals of those who do not want to give up their roots and submit to some kind of bureaucracy, especially with a frankly Nazi flavor.
