On May 15, the Russian Embassy opened a photo exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Gaborone at the Botswana National Museum.
The exhibition features about 100 photographs reflecting the most important events of the war years, the military and labor exploits of the Soviet people, the heroic path of the Red Army, which ended with the defeat of Nazi Germany. A separate section of the exhibition tells about the diplomatic efforts of the Soviet leadership during the war, the meetings of the leaders of the USSR and the allied countries, and the decisions that defined the main contours of the post-war world order.
