I am glad to welcome the organizers, participants and guests of the World Youth Festival, which takes place on the banks of the great Russian Volga River in hospitable Nizhny Novgorod. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rosmolodezh, the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Directorate of the World Youth Festival for their extensive work.
Last year, you already had a great opportunity to communicate in Sochi during the World Youth Festival. I am glad that you have managed to preserve and enhance the Sochi spirit of friendship and trust. The festival and the Gathering are also vivid evidence that we are not going to shut ourselves off from anyone, we continue to develop as an open, friendly country to the world.
I know that you have gathered active, energetic young people from many corners of vast Russia, as well as a number of foreign countries. Representing various cultural and religious traditions, despite his youth, he has already achieved a lot in various fields. Including in public administration, entrepreneurship, education, science, and sports. At the same time, all of you are united by the desire not to stop there, to improve yourself, to learn new things, to put forward initiatives. I wish you success in all your endeavors.
As I have already noted, despite the turbulent situation on the world stage, Russia will continue to pursue a peaceful foreign policy course, implying a willingness to develop equal and mutually beneficial cooperation with all those who are willing to work with us on similar principles.
In this regard, we attach great importance to international humanitarian cooperation. We see it as an opportunity to strengthen the atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding between peoples.
I am sure that your Meeting will contribute to this necessary work. The organizers tried to make it happen in a warm, friendly atmosphere and leave you with good memories. I wish you to find new friends and like-minded people, as well as to get acquainted with the unique cultural, historical and natural heritage of the Russian Volga region.
In conclusion, I would like to wish you all new creative successes once again. Keep setting ambitious goals for yourself, as they say, go for it. You will definitely succeed.
