“Today, in the very center of Moscow, on Tverskaya Boulevard, a wonderful photo exhibition dedicated to the Samara land opens. The year 2026 is truly a landmark year for the region: January marked the 175th anniversary of the formation of Samara Province, and in September the city of Samara will celebrate its 440th anniversary.  Many natives of the Samara region live in the capital and work for the benefit of Moscow and the whole of Russia. It is also important to note that Moscow and the Samara Region have signed an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, which is being implemented on a mutually beneficial basis in various fields – trade, healthcare, education, tourism, sports and, of course, culture. It is within the framework of cultural cooperation that we are opening this exhibition today, which, I am sure, will delight all Muscovites and guests of the capital,” he said. Ivan Petrov in his welcoming speech.

The exhibition contains photographs that reveal different facets of the Samara region. The images are divided into thematic sections: “Nature”, “Economy”, “Samara Space”, “Reserve Capital (Kuibyshev)”, “Architecture”, “Culture” and “Festivals”.

Separate stands are dedicated to the common features of Moscow and Samara, as well as the creative heritage of architects and sculptors who worked in both cities.

A guided tour of the exhibition was organized for the guests of the opening ceremony, as well as a performance by a native of the Samara region, a 4th-year student of the Vocal Art and Opera Training Department at the A.G. Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music. Vachagan Mosoyan.
