On October 7, 2026, the Foundation for International Business Communications, together with the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the City of Moscow and the “Russian University of Medicine” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, will bring together the expert community, students and young professionals at the Specialized Conference “Dialogue Platform – Uni2Uni: Sustainable health-saving practices and project activities of medical universities”. The event will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Department of Health, heads of municipalities, experts from leading medical, managerial and technical universities in Moscow and the regions, and industrial partners.

“Development Energy” “”Rosatom” State Corporation is the official partner of the conference series “Platform of Dialogue – Interuniversity”.

The specialized conference will be held as part of the preparation and holding of the International Municipal Forum 2026, which is held annually to promote international cooperation on the development of municipalities.

Projects of medical universities and universities of related specialties become drivers of sustainable development in the field of municipal health care, go beyond laboratories and classrooms, are implemented as developments of university startups at the municipal, regional and international levels and integrated into projects of integrated urban environment formation. However, most of these projects go through a period of decline due to the lack of a “single window” for business interaction, seamless financing, lack of interuniversity cooperation and lack of managerial competencies.

The conference is dedicated to real-world cases of medical and health-saving universities integrated into the agenda. The agenda also includes a review of projects on telemedicine, health prevention, the development of drugs, medical devices and consumables, and the launch of digital services, taking into account their adaptability, scalability and sustainability.

The business program of the conference starts with the plenary session “University as a project factory: a target model or an extra burden?”. Experts will discuss how to turn the university’s experimental site into a point of seamless prototyping and startup launch; they will analyze real-world cases and interuniversity initiatives in 2024-2026, explore engagement formats (design laboratories, startup studios, grant tracks) that form the skills of commercialization and interdisciplinary work among future doctors, engineers and biotechnologists.; They will analyze which mechanisms are effective for long-term industrial partnership with the university.

Next, in the open discussion “The balance of interests “Inter–university – business – society – State”, experts will raise the following issues:: what does business need from university R&D; what models work for a long-term partnership between the university and business; the topic of co-investment in university project activities and the coordination of the interests of all participants in the process.

“”A medical startup between a university and a venture fund – how to combine the logic of “Priority 2030″ and investor requirements” is a platform for working out the input requirements of investors and the program, revealing the nuances of legal and financial connections and interaction models, and laying out a roadmap for the project for three months ahead.

“The “Center for Collective Use and Technoparks in Universities: “a full cycle”from idea to product” discussion panel will focus on the exchange of opinions and experiences on the following issues: how to build a system so that the idea does not die after the hackathon; who pays, who uses and who maintains the collective equipment; typical mistakes that kill cooperation between the university technopark and an industrial partner; can the center for collective use be a driver of substitution of foreign components and equipment; under what conditions can the target capital of the university systematically finance the completion of prototypes?

“Single Window” expert session at a regional university: how to build a dialogue with partners” will allow experts to focus on regional barriers to health-saving projects, the scalability and uniqueness of the “single window” elements for different regions (legal templates, financial models, interaction regulations) and how to connect two regional growth points (an industrial hub and a wellness base) to collect clinical needs and establish pilot production.

At the final session of the Specialized Conference, the participants will summarize the results of the event.

The conference will take place on the third and final day of the project laboratory, which the Russian University of Medicine will hold in Moscow on October 5-7. It will include a training on entrepreneurship, intensive project management and commercialization for University teams, and a specialized conference “Dialogue Platform – Interuniversity.”
