The development and modernization of Russian oil refining under sanctions, the practical experience of import substitution against the background of the departure of international vendors, an up-to-date analysis of the possibilities of hydrogen energy, as well as other acute industry topics will be presented at the Congress on Refining and Petrochemistry: “Synthesis” in St. Petersburg on October 9-10, 2023.
Gazprom Neft is the general partner of the Synthesis Congress, with the support of which the congress delegation visited the key modernization facilities of the Moscow Refinery in 2022.
Every year, Sintetis gathers speakers and listeners from government agencies and leading WINCS, refineries, NHCs, equipment manufacturers and licensors to discuss key areas of the industry sector in Russia and the CIS. About 300 VIP meetings for 270 industry and manufacturing companies were organized at the 2022 Congress to strengthen cooperation between BGS group.
The two-day program of this year’s congress will cover the following topics:
– Oil refining and petrochemistry in Russia and the CIS: challenges and opportunities;
– Transition to domestic technologies and equipment in Russia;
– Digitalization and automation of oil refining and petrochemical industries;
– Energy saving and energy efficiency improvement of enterprises;
– Low-carbon development strategy: hydrogen.
A strategic panel dedicated to oil refining and petrochemistry in Russia and the CIS will open the first day of the congress. The speakers will make presentations on the prospects for the sale of petroleum products, polymer markets, state support for enterprises and new business models for the interaction of the chain of oil refining and petrochemical enterprises in the conditions of global instability. Among them is Asylbek Dzhakiev, Chairman of the Council for the Development of Strategic Partnerships in the Oil and Gas Industry Petrocuncil.kz , will present a report on the possibilities of oil and gas chemistry and oil refining of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
One of the sessions of the second day of the congress will cover the topic of improving the operational efficiency of enterprises. Marat Usmanov, General Director of LUKOIL – Engineering Skills and Competencies, has already confirmed his participation as a speaker.
He will present the experience of the engineering center for optimization of continuous production processes in the “processing and sales” segment of the LUKOIL Group.
In addition, the closed format of the congress implies a limited number of participants, which allows you to establish personal contact with the leadership of leading downstream enterprises in Russia and the CIS. Among the permanent participants of the congress are representatives of the companies “Titan”, “Belorusneft”, “EKTOS”, “Mendeleev Engineering Center”, as well as delegates from the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
