The 82-year-old Japanese creates amazing paintings, thanks to which he became famous all over the world. Tatsuo Horiuchi started drawing about 20 years ago when he retired. His choice fell on the Microsoft Excel program for the simplest reason – the artist did not have the funds to buy the materials he needed. According to Horiuchi, this program is simple and flexible to use, and it has a wide range of functionality.

In 2006, Tatsuo Horiuchi applied for the Excel Autoshape Art Contest and won the grand prize. Today, his fame has spread far beyond Japan. Several paintings were acquired by the Museum of Modern Art in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.
