Cooperation between Russia and India is actively developing, Director of the international direction of Parijat Industries (India) Shivraj Anand said at the conference “Agrotrends of Russia 2022-23”, organized by Agrotrend.ru in Moscow.

“It will be very interesting to see the results of 2022 and 2023, as many contracts have been signed and many actions are taking place in the oil and gas markets. The growth of fertilizer exports from Russia to India amounted to 371%. The export of pesticides and other agrochemicals has also grown strongly, and there is also a big growth in the medical industry,” he said.

Meanwhile, now for India, Russia is on the 18th place in the ranking of global exports of pesticides. The NWR market of India is $6.7 billion. At the same time, 50% of pesticides are exported, and this figure is growing every year.

He also stressed that the Russian market is too large to ignore.

“Russia is a big country, but India still has more acreage. Therefore, Russia has a lot to grow. The average farmer’s land in India is one hectare. That is, we sell $ 3.5 billion a year to farmers who have 1 hectare of land,” Shivraj Anand said.

Agrotrends of Russia is an annual conference for the heads of agricultural companies. Conducted Agrotrend.ru with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, unions and associations of agriculture. The strategic partner is Shchelkovo Agrochem, the partners are Parijat, Belin, Limagren, Cargill, the Russian-Indian Trading House and Megamix.
