In the autumn of this year, domestic banks will be required to switch to Russian services, the press service of the Central Bank reported the day before. This decision was due to data security issues, as well as uninterrupted operations.

“From October 1, 2023, banks will be required to use only Russian services and domestic financial infrastructure to transfer financial information when transferring funds in Russia. This will ensure the reliability, continuity and security of data exchange during domestic operations,” the report says.

Earlier it became known that the number of operations conducted through the Chinese CIPS system increased 1.5 times over the year. According to analysts, this development is an analogue of SWIFT, which allows circumventing sanctions restrictions for banking operations.
