Belarus and the Lipetsk region can expand cooperation in the field of electric transport. This was discussed at the meeting of the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and the Governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov on June 1. The Belarusian Prime Minister spoke about the most promising projects for joint work.
Lipetsk Region is one of the most important trade and economic partners of Belarus in Russia, the head of the Government of Belarus said Roman Golovchenko on June 1, reports Sputnik.Belarus”. According to him, the trade turnover of the republic with the region in 2022 amounted to $ 334 million. “There is a large, not fully disclosed potential in terms of achieving a better trade flow,” he said.
According to the Prime Minister, one of the important projects under active development is the creation of an assembly production of Amkodor equipment on the basis of the Lipetsk Tractor Plant. Belarus is also expected to increase the supply of machine tools. At the same time, taking into account the modernization of electric transport in the Lipetsk region, a new direction for cooperation opens up.
“As far as I know, it is planned to purchase a decent number of new trams, reconstruction of tram tracks, repair of traction substations and depots. And by the end of 2024 – the installation of about 20 electric charging stations. We are very interested in this topic, especially since we have competencies in these areas. And not only competencies: in fact, I will say without exaggeration, we are the leader in this segment in the post–Soviet space,” Golovchenko stressed
Governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov confirmed that the supply of electric charging stations will be in demand in the region, as they correspond to the plans to replace the fleet with electric and create electric taxis based on electric vehicles.
