On June 19, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Vershinin received Acting Minister of Culture of the Lebanese Republic M.Murtada, who is in Moscow on a visit at the invitation of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation O.B.Lyubimova.
During the conversation, a number of issues of Russian-Lebanese humanitarian ties, as well as bilateral cooperation between Russia and Lebanon at the UN and at various international venues were discussed.
The Russian side confirmed its position in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Lebanese Republic, the solution of all pressing issues on the national agenda by the Lebanese themselves on the basis of finding consensus without outside interference.
