Technological innovations in prosthetics will be presented at the Moscow Urban Forum, which will be held in Gostiny Dvor from August 1 to September 10.

Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, noted that modern developments in the field of rehabilitation and prosthetics are able to return people with disabilities to an active life.

“Moscow is a city of great opportunities for everyone. We pay special attention to people with disabilities, in particular, we try to attract leading Russian companies that are leaders in the field of prosthetics and high–tech rehabilitation tools, we follow trends and novelties in order to give citizens with disabilities the best,” the deputy mayor said.

A new generation of dental implants has been created in Russia:

According to Rakova, technological innovations that will be presented at the forum are already being actively used in social protection institutions for rehabilitation. Based on artificial intelligence, bionic prosthetic arms, an “all-terrain” wheelchair and a simulator of downhill skiing and snowboarding designed for people with lower limb prostheses have been created, reports.

So, the emphasis on AI using a powerful engine allows using prosthetic hands to tie shoelaces, drive a car, cook food and lift weights weighing over 20 kg. There is an individual sensory sensitivity adjustment inside the prosthesis.

To demonstrate a simulator of downhill skiing and snowboarding at the forum, a ski track in Sochi will be modeled. This development will help people with lower limb prostheses to return sports and even extreme to their lives. Prosthetics will allow you to do snowboarding, motocross, skateboarding, mountain biking, snowmobiling and quad biking, as well as train in the gym.

The forum program will include not only a demonstration of various developments for rehabilitation and improving the quality of life, but also an interactive session with leap motion technology. Each guest will be able to try to independently control the bionic hand and move the cube without touching it.

Earlier in Russia, cosmetic pads (contour covers) for prosthetic legs and hips were developed. This development, which has no analogues, allows you to show individuality and stop being afraid to appear in public in a prosthesis.
