The State Academic Maly Theater of Russia will arrive in Turkmenistan in September as part of the Big Tour project. Russian artists will present two productions to the Turkmen public – “Cherry Orchard” and “Marriage”. The performances will run from September 18 to 22 on the stage of the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Main Academic Drama Theater.
According to the press service of Rosconcert, the “Big Tour” of Russian theaters will be held in September in Turkmenistan, as well as in Uzbekistan, Abkhazia and Belarus.
“The idea of recreating a single touring system has received an incredible response from creative teams across the country. The programs “Big Tours” and “We are Russia” of the All–Russian tour and concert plan attract more and more participants every year,” the press service quoted the words of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova.
The autumn tour includes such Russian theaters as the S. V. Obraztsov State Academic Central Puppet Theater, which will travel to Uzbekistan, and the St. Petersburg Workshop Theater will give performances in Abkhazia.
Viewers in Belarus will see productions of the Baltic House Theater-Festival, the Sapaev Mari Opera and Ballet Theater and the Rostov State Musical Theater.
