Agrarians plan to harvest about 130 million tons of grain this year, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, RIA Novosti reports.

“As the President emphasized, our country is one of the key suppliers of agricultural products in the world,” Mishustin said during a speech at the plenary session of the agro–industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn”.

The Prime Minister said that Russia has established itself as a reliable partner. According to him, high results are primarily the merit of people working in the agro-industrial sector.

Mishustin added that a record grain harvest is not expected in Russia this year, but it will be enough for domestic consumption and to fulfill obligations to partners.

The Prime Minister also noted the positive dynamics in the production of potatoes, fruits and vegetables.
