An exhibition dedicated to the Inca civilization has opened at the Jinsha Site Museum in the southwestern Chinese city of Chengdu.

It presents 168 exhibits from 14 museums in Peru, including products made of bone, ceramics, metal, stone, wood, textiles. In addition, interactive virtual tours and 360-degree panoramic images can be viewed here.

The exhibition opened to visitors on Wednesday, January 10, and will last until April 10.

The Inca civilization, one of the three main civilizations of the Americas, originated in the Peruvian Andes. It flourished in the XV-XVI centuries AD, leaving behind world-famous historical and cultural relics.

“Although China and Peru are thousands of kilometers apart, their cultural heritage is united by common traditions and sun worship,” said Zhu Zhanyi, director of Jinsha Site Museum.

According to Zhu, the museum will continue to develop a dialogue between civilizations in the future. This is reported by Xinhua, a partner of the TV BRICS network.
