Dear Mr. Minister,
Colleagues,
We are glad to welcome you to Moscow.
Our countries have traditionally friendly relations based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit and mutual respect.
We are developing a bilateral political dialogue. Gambian President A. Barrow took part in the first Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi in October 2019. Last July, you participated and represented your country at the second summit, which was held in St. Petersburg.
We positively assess the cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs. Parliamentary contacts are expanding. It would be important to bring trade and economic ties up to the level of our good political dialogue. We are ready for this, as well as for increasing cooperation in the humanitarian and educational spheres.
I hope that today’s talks will make it possible to set specific goals on all these issues.
