“The proposed staff is professional, has work experience. And, of course, we hope that everyone benefits from this. The quality of the government’s work will be higher and its effectiveness accordingly. But time should show how much it will work in these positions,” he said.
The Speaker of the State Duma emphasized that in the context of a special military operation, when Russia is faced with a huge number of challenges, it is especially important that all candidates for government members will be able to start work immediately without swaying.
“You can start work right away without swinging. By the way, this is especially important today, a special military operation is underway, the country is facing a huge number of challenges,” Volodin told reporters.
The Speaker of the State Duma noted that absolutely every candidate has acquired competencies in their fields.
It is important that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin hear the proposals of State Duma deputies, said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, commenting on the candidacy of Denis Manturov proposed by Mishustin for the post of First Deputy Prime Minister Volodin stressed the importance that the president and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation hear the proposals of State Duma deputies
“During the approval of the Prime Minister, a proposal was made by deputies that his first deputy should be the Deputy Prime Minister responsible for industry, defense, and technology. Mishustin promised to discuss this issue with the president. Today, Manturov’s candidacy has been submitted for the post of first deputy chairman of the government,” he told reporters.
At the same time, Volodin did not rule out that the discussion of candidates for the positions of deputy prime ministers and ministers would cause heated discussions in the State Duma.
“This suggests that it is necessary to fight for support. And I would like the candidates to understand this. They need to convince deputies that they will cope with solving problems,” Volodin stressed.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin presented his proposals on the new composition of the government.
