More than 7,000 Kamchatka families with children receive a single benefit. As noted by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kamchatka Territory Victoria Sivak, this support measure is a help for families with children.

“Since the beginning of this year, a single allowance has been assigned to 12,524 children in the Kamchatka Territory. This support measure covers more than 7,000 families. In total, more than two billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. The single benefit helps our families and is a help for them,” she said Victoria Sivak.

Recall that the unified allowance for low—income families is a measure of state support for families whose per capita income is less than the subsistence minimum in the region of residence. The payment is assigned to a pregnant woman who is registered before 12 weeks of pregnancy, and to one of the parents of a child aged from birth to 17 years.

We should add that Kamchatka has accumulated a wealth of experience in various forms of social support for families with children. In total, families in the Kamchatka Territory are provided with more than 20 types of cash payments. These are regional maternity capital, monthly payments at the birth of the third and subsequent children until the child reaches the age of three, monthly payments for meals to pregnant women, nursing mothers, as well as children under three years old, and many others.
