On December 6, in Doha, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov met with former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sudan Mustafa Osman Ismail.
During the conversation, an in-depth exchange of views took place on the situation in and around Sudan in the light of the ongoing military and political crisis in the country. In this context, the Russian side stressed the need for an early end to the bloodshed and the establishment of a broad national dialogue in the interests of ensuring the unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of friendly Sudan.
The current situation in the Middle East and North Africa was also discussed, with an emphasis on developments in Syria, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone and Libya.
