On January 7, the priest of the Russian Orthodox Church, Rafael da Conceicao, who is on a visit to Luanda, held a morning service at the School at the Russian Embassy in Angola.
The Christmas service was attended by Embassy staff and their family members, as well as compatriots permanently residing in Luanda.
Those who came to the divine service were able to perform the sacraments and have a conversation with the priest. Father Raphael also performed the rite of minor consecration of water.
At the end of the morning service, Father Raphael presented the children with small Christmas gifts.
During his stay in Angola, Father Raphael also conducted the sacraments of baptism and unction for Russian citizens.
