On December 28, as a follow-up to the agreements reached during the telephone conversation between the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin and the President of the Argentine Republic A. Fernandez, on December 18, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic S. Kafiero.
The foreign ministers discussed the state and prospects for the development of Russian-Argentine relations in a rapidly changing international environment and confirmed their readiness to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the most pressing issues on the global agenda and interaction on multilateral platforms.
