Russia strongly condemns the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in the capital of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on December 23 this year, for which the terrorist organization the Taliban Movement of Pakistan claimed responsibility. As a result of this cowardly outing, a law enforcement officer was killed and several policemen were injured.
At the same time, we note the increased terrorist activity in a number of Pakistani provinces, which targets representatives of law enforcement agencies and civilians.
Expressing solidarity with Islamabad in the face of this global threat, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening constructive cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on counterterrorism both in multilateral formats, primarily the UN and the SCO, and on a bilateral basis.
