Azerbaijani schoolchildren established radio communication with the International Space Station for the first time.

According to the Report, the event was held on the initiative of the Space Agency (Azercosmos) At the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport within the framework of the World Space Week, which takes place in Baku from October 4 to 10.

The main purpose of the meeting was to increase the interest of secondary school students in space. The students got acquainted with the activities of Azercosmos, which has been providing telecommunications and Earth observation services since 2010 as the first satellite operator in the region, as well as with the work of Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2, the first telecommunications satellites launched into orbit in 2013 and 2018.

Then a master class on 3D printing was held for schoolchildren, Azercosmos presented them with gifts. Then a memorable photo was taken.
