The formation of an ecosystem of digital transport corridors in the Eurasian Economic Union, which is being conducted within the framework of the Union digital agenda, was discussed at a meeting of a profile expert group in the Eurasian Economic Commission.

On the part of the expert community, representatives of the largest transport, logistics and forwarding companies of the Russian Federation took part in the meeting – FESCO Group of Companies, Rusatom Cargo LLC, OTLK EPA JSC, CRCP LLC.

Having considered the development of a project to create a digital ecosystem infrastructure – an information and communication “showcase” of national services, the participants proposed a coordinated approach regarding the transition to its practical use.

For the scalability of the project and the formation of a single transport and logistics space throughout the Union, the members of the expert group considered it appropriate to organize a joint pilot project on the use of digital tools in the management of multimodal transportation.

Based on the list of services and the necessary digital infrastructure identified by the Commission Council in November 2020, the meeting participants propose to allocate priority services for their testing as part of a pilot project.

Among them is a service for the use of an electronic international waybill (road transport); a service for the use of an electronic international waybill (rail transport); a service for the use of an electronic waybill.
